An agency’s website is its shop window. STANDSTILL agency websites are usually afflicted by what I call the 3 U’s…

U number three is UNSURE.

Once again poor positioning infects the STANDSTILL agency website. What type of agency actually are they? They seem to offer so many services they must be super human. Are they not really sure what they’re good at, or are they just hedging their bets (again)?

STANDOUT agencies know what they are good at. Indeed, they know what services they are trying to be the very best in the world at.

These firms don’t want to be distracted by trying to convince clients they can do something they’re not really interested in, or have never done before.

These agencies know exactly how their skills can be best utilised and it’s not by chasing multiple different revenue streams and spreading themselves too thinly.

If your positioning isn’t clear, you’re going to look unsure of what you’re doing. If you look unsure, how can you expect clients to be sure they want to work with you?
