Targeting clients for your agency is not just about who you WANT to work for. Most agencies would like to work with Red Bull, Virgin or Patagonia etc. Having a brand you aspire to work with is a good thing, but it probably won’t win you business (or grow your agency).
More important than who you want is who you are for…
What type of clients can you get results for? What clients can you provide the best service to? Which clients are likely to engage with your agency? Which are a good fit?
Don’t think about what what a difference they could make to you. Think about what a difference you could make to them.
