STANDOUT agencies NEVER just send proposals to clients



With the possible exceptions of formal tenders or large coordinated RFPs, never just send a prospective client your proposal.

Whether your agency is highly creative or more technically led, you must find the opportunity to sell your ideas to a client. This means you must attend a meeting with them either face to face or – increasingly these days – online.

If a client just wants you to “send your proposal through on email”. Don’t.

A lack of willingness by a client to spend time with you is a serious red flag. It might mean they’re:

– Just looking to compare prices
– Fishing for ideas
– Talking to far too many agencies
– Not the decision-maker

Whatever their reasons the underlying message is clear: you are a commodity supplier in their eyes. STANDOUT agencies are not!
