STANDOUT agencies make MONEY
There is no doubt in my mind that, for agencies, there is an inextricable link between profile and profit.
If your agency is well known, fundamentally it stands out. If you want to attract the best people and the best clients you need to become known.
That said, I see so many agencies making a lot of noise, but little money. Often driven by the founder’s ego, they spend too much time on themselves and not enough time with their clients. They become obsessed with winning awards and getting featured in the media. Their work becomes their image rather than their output.
We are in business to make money. How much you want to make depends on your personal outlook, but if a business isn’t profitable it isn’t sustainable.
Don’t let your ego get in the way of delivering great work for your clients and making sure you get paid for it.
