If you want to grow your agency, don’t think like a seller, think like a – serious – buyer.

What would you want to see if you were buying your agency?

No.1 – You’d want to see healthy PROFITABILITY

Nobody wants an agency that doesn’t make money. Or at least nobody wants to pay anything for an agency that doesn’t make money.

Agencies are generally valued on their ability to make money. That means their value is in their profitability. No profit? No value.

If you were buying a STANDOUT agency you’d want to see:

– At least 20% + net profit adjusted to include market rate directors remuneration.

– A track record of profitability. Several years of consistent numbers, not a single year flash in the pan.

Stand back and ask yourself “would I buy my agency”? If you still have some work to do in this area, at least now you know what you need to do and why it’s important.
