What would you want to see if you were buying your agency?
No.7 – You’d want to see RECURRING REVENUE
Agencies are valued on their profitability but they are coveted for the regularity with which that profit occurs. Project based agencies that experience rollercoaster revenue are not unsaleable, but they’ll always struggle to command a premium.
If you were buying a STANDOUT agency you’d want to see:
– Stability and predictability of income
– Monthly recurring revenue and retainers outweighing project work
– Income security
STANDOUT agency owners don’t think about selling their agency, they think about buying it.
Stand back and ask yourself “would I buy my agency”? If you still have some work to do in this area, at least now you know what you need to do and why it’s important.
